Default Inner CV Joint Bulletin

My rear end has been shaking pretty harsh lately and the dealership just kinda brushed me off a couple months ago when it first started and I said something. Finally today I went back and took a tech on a drive with me and he verified there was a problem (no kidding). Come to find out there is a bulletin on the Inner CV joints and a castle nut that will cause this vibration upon acceleration and the higher the speed and more throttle the worse it gets.

Just wondered if anyone experienced this or possibly someone else is and this can help them.

Hey I had mine replaced a week ago. It was shaking when I accelerated. I was surprised that the dealership didnt give me any problems. They never know about TSBs, I always have to tell them about the TSB or they try to make me pay for it. James

I had mine replaced 3-4 months ago. It wasn't so bad that the car was shaking but there was a definite vibration that was getting worse quickly when accelerating. They installed the TSB without too much hassle (had to drive the service writer around to demonstrate the problem)...

This may be a dumb question, but if you're out of warranty, you have to pay for TSB repairs, right? I was just confused by this post.... and I think I might have a bad cv joint

Done two in the past two weeks.

Do an axle bucket swap, the car will be as good as new. You don't even need to buy any parts. Sweetj was having the same prob bro.

Castle nut: It's not a castle nut, but a locknut. This is not your problem.

Go here, you'll learn all about it. My experiences are toward the bottom....
