Default Inner CV joint Swap

Just lowered the car and under accelearation over 50, i get the shakes. I then read that its beneficial and recommended to swap out the cv joints in the rear when you lower your car.

I saw the DIY but saw others did it other ways.

Do I need a ball joint remover to do this or can I just do it without it. I would like to remove as little as possible.

I was going to rent a impact gun from advanced auto parts if needed. I know i need to remove the wheels in the back and the two bolts on each side of the control arm. Then the 6 bolts on each sice of the cv joint and the boot. Is there anything else im missing or advise someone can give me regarding tools or the procedure.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Drive shaft spacers also are very helpful.

Ive read about the drive shaft spacers but If I can save some cash with the same result, I dont mind working on the car and swaping the cups.

Great to hear I dont need an impact gun. I think I needed to remove the same bolts when I swapped out the diff.

The inner joints might wear out again! Spacers on the ap1 might be a better idea.

I thought once you swap them out that it would create a new wear point which would prevent this? is this incorrect?

If not then I would need to end up purchasing them. I see they sell 1 and two piece. Any difference?

Actually decided to just swap the cups out.

So just to confirm i dont need a ball joint remover. What is needed specifically to remove the cup withouth removing the ball joint?

The DIY shows removing everything but I want the simplest swap possible..

I didn't completely remove my axles (didn't touch the axle nuts) when I swapped my CV buckets.

Soulicious did you need the ball joint remover then. Can you give me a quick description on what you needed to do?

I changed out the took them out once already when I swapped my diff 30k ago. Those were a pain to remove but was able to do it in the end.
