WtbS2k,
i didn't know the Konis cost that much... might have to run the stock struts for a while.
Thanks for the info.
the koni yellows are really worth it. the stock shocks might last a couple months with the new springs, but you will eventually have to change them out...and then you'll have to do the whole install all over again. save your time and install both the new springs and shcoks at the same time.
also, you will need to reuse the perch from the stock shocks. at first it doesnt look like it wants to come off, but use a rubber mallet and softly hit it till it becomes loose.

Probably correct. I installed my KG/MMs backwards (front to rear). Counting off the coils, I'd inadvertantly presumed that the springs with more coils should go up front...but later learned they should have been the rear springs (and vice-versa). As it is, I left it that way since I've also: 1) replaced my stock exhaust with the lighter Invidia and, 2) replaced my stock front swaybar with a 28# Saner adjustable swaybar. Sorta "swapping" the weight front to back, and having the springs on the reverse ends of the car has actually proven to level my gap all the way around. Had I not swapped, I suspect my rear would have been slightly higher as your own experience has proven.
Don't worry about that gap difference. It has a purpose. You load that trunk up for a trip and you'll appreciate that extra 1 finger gap (cuz it will be gone once the weight is added in the trunk I'll betcha ).

Thanks Dave!
How much should koni and kgmm SP lower the car? Mine is only lowered about 3/4 of an inch
I am set on Koni's lower perches...and that lets me insert my index finger & little more btw the tire & wheelwell. 3/4 inch drop w/ the KG/MM SS sounds right

Oh, btw, should i put the orange rubbers part (like a orange ball) come off the stock shocks on konis? I didn't put them on because the manual didn't say. thanks
Are you referring to the foam bump stops If so, there's your banging noise. They slide over the top of the shaft and under the dust cover. Avoid any big bumps in the meantime.
