This has been reported when the alternator is going out.

Gauge lights can flicker with normal changes in electrical load. Cooing fans and AC come on = lights dim. Fans and AC go off = lights get brighter.

Usually flickering cluster is caused by the alternator on its way out. Or maybe you can try changing the battery since its pretty old

This is a third battery, 04 AP2. Has been flickering since 30k miles. It has 75k on it now.

No battery replacement cured the issue. Battery and Charging systems were tested with volt memter to verify sufficient voltage and everything was just fine.

Replaced battery month ago and they are still flickering at idle only
