Default Interior soft top issue

I have had a problem with my soft top. When I lower my top, the bar above the rear glass window stays with the bar that has the modifry straps attached to it. There seems to be ripped holes on an extra piece of material on each side of the rear window. I remember that when I purchased the top and had it installed, there were zip ties through one of the holes, as it wasn't ripped yet, and somewhere throughout the past few years it ripped. There are no holes in my soft top, rather the inner material. If anyone has any info on this, I would greatly appreciate it...

That flap in the last pic holds a wire for the defroster which looks like its missing. I've got those holes on mine too however they're not ripped and nothing is attached to them.

As for the bar mine does the same (normal I believe) if I'm understanding what you're describing correctly.

Yes, it is an OEM AP2 top. I didn't have that issue when I had my original AP1 top. Having to manually put that bar back into place.

So you mean when you raise your top it doesn't go back into position?

that strap is the one that should bring it into place, you have that?

Lotsa times when people remove it, it gets detached from the rain rail. You need to have some long rivets to hold it in place

I finally got a chance to look at the rail again today and those rivets/straps are missing.
