Default Intermittent stalling

Hi Folks
I have an issue with my 2002 S2000. For the past few months, I have had a stalling issue when coming to a stop. This is starting to happen more frequently now. Out of the blue, as I come to a stop at a light or stop sign, the car stalls. It will restart no problem, and idles normally. It might not do it again for a week and then bam. Yesterday I was on the way home from up north. So I had been driving for about an hour when I came into a small town. 4 stops total. Stalled every time as I came to a stop. Drove for another half an hour and came to another town. Multiple stops and no issue.
Please help. !!
Bryan

You could start with the Idle relearn procedure and see if it helps

Did you scan to see if you have any codes coming up?

Hi
No I don’t have a scanner
will have to take it to a local shop for that. Is there a particular scanner you would Recommend?
thanks for the input.

Just to clarify. The vehicle stalls as I roll up to the stop.
Clutch in brakes on

Does it behave the same if you roll to a stop in neutral instead and no clutch pedal pressed down?

There are a few threads on this issue, with various "fixes".
My MY00 AP1 exhibited similar behavior as what you describe, and was fixed by replacing the O2 Sensors.
I did this in April and have put on over 5000km this summer without a recurrence.

Others have found that cleaning the IAC valve works for them.

Thanks
i will try both of those. I have also been told to try spraying a can of Sea Foam into the intake with the vehicle revving at around 2k rpm.

But shouldn’t I be getting a code if it’s the O2 sensor ?
thanks
