Default Invidia Exhaust

Ok i got my used invidia in today, and i have some issues i would need help with here guys, answer them the best you can, otherwise im in deep poo!

1.The muffler (where it meets together in that Y is 2 inches 3/8 wide...is this the v2 or v3 invidia catback? THe owner couldnt tell me
2. How do you tighten the tips on the invidia exhausts, the right one is loose sorta, and i think it will vibrate when i put it on.

I really need sombody to help me out on these questions, i cant put it on till i get new gasktets ordered in, and i dont know what to tell them!

If the tips are the burnt titanium, then its a v2 or 3. If the tips are just stainless, not burnt, then its a v1. The loose tip needs to be re-riveted. To my knowledge, thats the only way to fix them.

Drill out the old rivets and re-rivet them. Do all of them since you're taking a few out.

fyi, if riveting doesn't work (i had to redo mine practically every month), you can get them welded on.

Easiest way to tell if its a V2 or V3 is the piping leading up to the mufflers. If they are a sleave fit into the Y pipe then it is a V3.

you have to rivet the tips. you cant weld stainless steel to titanium.

after the y split. the v2 is all one piece.. the v3 is 3 pieces, the actual y, and two mufflers held on by clamps.

judging by the fact that you say your tip is vibrating i'd say its a v2. the v3 has improvements made to the tip not to vibrate.

Actually, you can weld SS to Ti: http://www.megastir.com/

It's just not quite economical yet to do it in this application.
