Default Invidia Exhaust with Stock resonator

Hi guys...
Like I posted on the other thread I was asking if having a hardtop can actually help with the problem that I have currently of my invidia exhaust being too loud for me.
Most the guys said no.

What about replacing the invidia little resonator with the stock resonator?
Is it of any help.
Will it make the exhaust sounds bad though?

Any sound clips of this will be really appreciated.

Please guys... help on this. I really love the look of the exhaust but not the too loud sound. So if possible I'm trying to find alternative method other than getting rid of the exhaust.

Helps and opinions are really well appreciated.

Thanks

Eric

I think what you ask is going to be rare and probably non-existent. I kinda doubt anyone has butchered an aftermarket exhaust that they paid good money for. Instead, I would think they just sold it intact. As soon as you butcher something like this, it worth next to nothing. Even kept intact, a used aftermarket exhaust has high depreciation. Not many (if any) people would do this. It's more financially feasible to sell it and get what you can for it and buy something that suits your needs better.
(Or were you actually asking for someone to go out and butcher their Invidia so you can get their impression on it? )

Im using my stock resonator as my ONLY muffler, and its much quiet than the Individia that was on a car that I test drove. Just use the stock exhaust, cut the mufflers off after the resonator, welded on some piping/hangers to the back of the car. Dropped a LOT of weight, has a GREAT sound, and best of all, there is no killer droning because you still have the front half of the factory engineered exhaust to prevent the droning.

hmmm, i've got a stock resonator and a bid on an invidia on ebay. if the droning is too much for me i just might try the stock resonator. only thing is, i didn't notice much of a volume increase when i removed the stock resonator, so if i had to guess i would say that it won't help the invidia that much.

I just put my stock resonator on my invidia and it sounds great. It is a little deeper, but noe the noise feels like it is in the back of the car and not in the cabin. The sound is comparable to driving with one silencer in the invidia. imo it sounds great and was worth the 50 bux it costs to get done, cuz now its truly custom!

If no one wants to buy my invidia, I want to do this too. But, does it lessen the droning?

To hear the radio with the same intensity, I only had to hit the dash volume control two clicks louder than w/the stocker. The Individia I remember having a hard time conversing with the passenger. When you hit Vtec though, its pretty insane Underpasses, etc, bring up visions of F1 races on Speed, etc

I don't think the Invidia exhaust is the one for you.

I've read you can cut the stock exhaust and weld a peice to it to connect to the back section of the invidia, making a mid pipe out of stock exhaust. That way you don't ruin the invidia ,and elliminate the drone.
