Default Issue with engine

While driving, the car will have like a power cut which would make the car jerk. What could this problem be. Teh car will be at like 50mph and then it feels like a stop and then it kicks back on. If anyone knows what it could be let me know.

Thanks Rui

It could be any number of things ... as simple as bad battery cables, bad injectors, bad gas, to a bad engine harness (any number of wires grounding out), and anything inbetween. Could be big, could be small ... take it to a trusted Honda service department and have them look at it.

Well since your not a registered i have no clue what kind of car you drive. Ill assume s2k and say that your either not shifting into 3rd gear or your car is not warmed up. Also check your oil.

... if you are car savy, start checking electrical connections (connectors - re-seat as many as possible and look for corrosion). When I lived in Jacksonville, I had two cars that had the battery cables corrode through and my cars would do exactly what you described. If your battery is 3+ years old, replace it, you could have a bad cell plate shorting other plates out. It sounds electrical. Look at ground connections and replace any that look bad ... you can never go wrong there. The OEM cables are never good enough. after you tackle the simple ... have the Honda folks take a poke at it. Look at injector harnesses (after you look at primary electrical stuff), ignition harnesses, fuel pump ... etc.

If everything goes dead everytime it cuts out or you get intermittent electrical indications ... you can narrow it down there.

Good luck.
