Issues with new S!
I got a pretty great deal on an 04' NFR with 50k miles. I was looking for a GPW but all of them were pretty high in price so I went with my 2nd favorite
So--- to the issues.. Whoever installed the new top did it incorrectly. I've installed my own on my 03' Sebring.. and I know what they did wrong, they put the straps that bolt where the back of the top bolts--- one bolt forward from where they need to be. This is basically making it where that back part of my top frame doesn't get pulled back all of the way. It doesn't look bad but I'm curious if this will cause issues in the future, or if anyone has had experience with it.
Secondly, they went the cheater route and split the roll hoops in half. Does this allow easier access to the bolts in the back so I can fix that strap? I'm not sure because I removed them completely when I did it. Also-- Does anyone have any clue how this can be glued together or am I SOL? I saw a post saying it was really difficult to get them back together but I haven't found a success story.
Just for some eye candy in the post I'll link you some pics-- It's pretty clean other than the top install and my front passenger fender looks like it's been repainted and doesn't match near the bottom of the door. Hopefully I can get it matched up without breaking the bank!- Don't mind my creeper face! I'm so tan because.... summer+s2000 = winning!
Let me know if this post can be put in a better place on the forums! Thanks for taking the time to read/help out
