So ive been tryin to figure out exactly whats goin on with my car...

Everytime i drive my s2k, and i get up to about 45mph-55mph in any gear the car shakes pretty badly while accelerating. but it doesnt happen when im not accelerating. the steering wheel does not shake so im honestly clueless...i have been told it might be commin from the transmission or drivetrain but i have no idea. does anyone have any ideas? thanks for your help!!

Bad CV joint(s) or bad diff or missing (or loose) propshaft bolts.

Worn and pitted inner driver side CV joint. Search this and you'll find the answer.

Another vote for CV Joints.

When moving at low speeds can you sometimes hear a small squeak from the left or right rear wheels?

I was wondering if my CV nightmare was typical...

Started with feeling like I had a flat spot on a tire during acceleration.

After a year (and several empty stares from Honda service folks) I sometimes noticed a quiet squeak at low speeds (once per wheel revolution). Once again, no help from Honda service.

A month later it became a banging noise - now the Honda folks notice it. Replaced CV's for free (out of warranty but under the service bulletin)

One month later, squeak is back and Honda torques the hub nuts.

One month later banging is back - Axle is sheared inside the hub! Banging noise was my rear rotor banging against the caliper!

Whoa dude. Sounds like the way overtorqued the new axle. Strangely enough, since I put a used axle with 18k from a junkyard in my car to replace the busted one, I've put on 40k and have no new shakes. Crazy.

The answer is torque the hub nut and if that doesn't help get the CV's replaced (Mine were replaced free because of the service bulletin).
