Default JRZ shock PERCH STUCK

I have raised the other three corners of my car, but the left rear perch is stuck, i was thinking of using the allen bolt to open the perch, but its in a place where i cant get an allen key to. my last resort is finding a thread breaking grease, but i dont know if it will be able to penetrate all the threads. anyother suggestions to break the thread, and how to prevent this from happening again? should i spray wd-40 on the shock shaft from now on? any other tips would be great.

Why can't you get to the allen bolt? If you get under the car you might be able to maneuver yourself to get to it.

its just in a place where the tool is in the way because of the suspension arms and brake lines. its like totally siezed for some reason, im goning to try and get a 5mm allen key thats small enough to get into the space, but im not sure if its going to work.

Use WD40 then wipe it off afterwards. I prefer the AC Delco penetrating lube.

The hard way will work the best. Remove the shock from the car.

The other method is to use two pairs of channel locks in opposite directions though you may find the space tight and the channel locks slipping.
Adj. Channel locks.

The stuck perches are hard to avoid as they often are the result of grit/sand/thread material.

Other than that, you will have a tough time getting the leverage you need on the car. Set the ride-height and get it cornered asap so you never have to think about it again.

If you remove the adjuster knob and the double nuts the shock will pop out without the top hat.

How about getting the allen key sockets (the ones you can put on a ratchet?). Would the ability to ratchet, add a universal joint, or extend the distance between the working head help you out?

The problem then becomes (atleast for me) that both perches move the shock body without yielding apart from each other.

I thought the problem was that he couldn't reach the allen head? Loosening the screw up should help him get to adjust the perch easier. Maybe I misunderstood...

Perhaps I misunderstood, but I thought the perches were stuck, and he was unsuccessfully using the allenhead as a leverage point.
