Are you running the J's now?

The reason i ask is because the exhaust i have been waiting for from JIC is NOT going to be full Ti like they said it was. Basically, the mid section is stainless and only the final section and muffler are Ti. Apparently, they were not able to bend the Ti to their liking for the mid section so they used stainless instead.

Should still weigh under 18 pounds for the entire exhaust be priced around 800 bux

Derrick I think you are confused man. Seriously just buy the Ti Universal Muffler that you like and go to any muffler shop and ask them to make you piping going from the cat back. This will probably only come out to 20lbs and save you about 500 dollars. There is no need to cut up a J's exhuast just to get piping. If you like the piping just find out the diameter it is probably around 2.25 to 2.5 inches. A shop will probably charge you around 100 to weld the muffler and the piping.

docomind, I believe JIC still have full Titanium exhaust..!! it is not avaliable yet I believe..!! the dual exhaust...

and Dan, you may be right..!! but, I can't measure the J's piping unless I have it.. also, I thought just by chaning the muffler, it won't lose any hp or tq figure if I use the same size muffler..right? Oh!! and there is a guy who wants to buy the J's cut-off muffler from me..!! so... I will think about it more..

Just ask someone to measure it. Someone must be willing to, or ask Kazu about the pipe diameter. I just think you will save yourself some bucks and headaches by doing it this way.

you know how the j's racing muffler is round? well, here's basically the measurements:

tip; round (beginning of canister); flat (canister); round (end of canister); diameter
4; .75; 12; 1.5; 5

btw; the tip sticks out from the bumper about 1.25 inches...in case you want to go longer or shorter. i think it's the perfect length. if you've seen the buddy club exhaust, you'd know exactly what i mean.

moyo actually Derrick and I were wondering about the size of the piping that runs from the canister to the cat. So we need you to either measure the diameter of the piping/hole or the circumference of the pipe. If I remember my basic geometry we can just take the circumference and divide it by 3.14 (pie)
