JDMDEUCE- I pray to god that these RA's don't rust! $3200 is still a lot of $$ But I do recall that these were made of:
"ultra light and strong aluminum - A7050 which is also used in airplanes." http://www.tein.co.jp/radampe.html
I heard that Tein USA is going to establish a shock re-building facility at their Torrance, Cali. head office?? Can anyone here confirm?
s2oooboy, I recommend you call or email TEIN USA and ask them if their is a distributor local to you. If you find that they are raping you, let me know and I'll try to hook you up.
THanks guys.
You know, I probably WILL send them an email but 3200 still sounds pretty hefty. Were u guys able to test out the coil-overs? Make a big difference?
Im just thinking that for 3200 u could get a bunch of other stuff that'll improve performance, if not more. Maybe a new final gear, stiffer springs, and adjustable sway bars? all three of those could probably be had for 3200, i think? Still, I guess if u want it done right, you'll go with the TEIN's.

Hey s2oooboy, you've got a good point. Coilovers in general are pretty expensive, but once the shocks are tuned properly with the right height adjustment, you've got a killer machine that can hug the corners and come out of the turn like a slingshot. Above that the competition's price is just crazy. Mugen's are $3300 US plus shipping and taxes, Toda's Fightex are like $3800US and I think Spoon is $3100US.
My brother and I have unfortunately not been able to test out the c/o due the weather. We hope to give a go on the track in the spring. I hear though that once the c/o are tuned you are able to hug to the corners and slingshot out of the turn. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Cheers,
