Knock sensor
This site is awsome! Thanks to the search function, I was able to change
the Knock Sensor that was probably damaged during a clutch replacement.
I was getting an intermittent CEL and the local dealer diagnosed the problem
as a failing Knock Sensor. They wanted close to 200 for the sensor, and
450 to put it in! I got the sensor from Majestic for 108 and installed myself
in less than an hour. ( It always takes me longer the first time).
Thanks S2KI.

I did have to buy a new socket. It takes a long 24mm, which was also discovered here on S2KI. Actually the longest part of the replacement was getting the wire off the sensor. The plastic end of the sensor had seperated from the metal part that was still screwed into the block. I could not get both hands into the space to hold the loose piece and still squeeze the electric connector to get it loose. Eventually I grabbed the loose piece of the sensor with a vice-grip, squeezed the connector and
a little shaking let the broken piece fall out. The rest was a piece of cake.
