Default koni shock questions

i bought a set of koni yellows the other day and i had a few questions reguarding the install. the instructions show , but don't tell exactly how or why, you have to put the end into a vise , compress the piston an turn the shock 180, 360, or 720 degrees. i was wandering why you have to do this ? is it for drop or a certain level of adjustibility or what ? i have the shocks set on the lower notch for a little more drop and i have the eibach pro kit springs on the car . any help yall can give me would be greatly appreciated. thanks, nate

Apparently you read the instructions on how to adjust koni red another version of koni shock . The yellows are adjusted on the car using the knob provided .

i read the diy before i posted. what i'm wanting to know is not in it though . on the koni yellows do you compress and rotate the shock piston for any reason ? albeit height , ride , etc. or do you just install them like any other shocks ?

Yuo have to drill the rose bushings, and dust covers 12mm.drill bit.
You adjust the height by selecting wich perch, you install them on.
The yellow's rebound control is adjusted on the car, with the supplied knob.!
Left rear is a bitch to adjust !!!

And,don't start full firm,on all 4 corners, you'll be bouncing all over the place!
Start with half way,and finetune it ti your liking, from there.
Half firm(or half soft,,,)is optimum for the street;got KG/MM supersport.
