Koni users help
I just installed these great shocks on the car but I do have one major problem maybe you seniors can help me out on. How in the world do you guys adjust the let rear strut. I can not for the life of me get that big knob in there and I even tried cutting it and making it smaller. Please advise
also out of curiosity what settings do you guys drive on daily. thanks

Undo the three bolts that hold the gas tank filler tube and the one bolt that braces it inside the trunk. Bend the tube out of the way. It's pretty lame that koni would have us do this but oh well, it works.
I have no idea what will work for you in your daily driving because I don't know where and how you drive. I don't know what springs you're running, and a whole other list of crap.

thanks for the help, that sounds like a lot of work, but i may give it a try, may try to rig a smaller knob and see what happens. so far ive ran soft in the rear and firm up front and i like the feel of it. unforunately in florida most roads are flat and straight so its hard to judge. I will just have to play around with it
You will need to sacrifice one of your adj knobs. Carefully cut out the center key...it is actually pressed into the knob so it can be removed intact if you are careful. It will press into a 3/8" socket (again you will need to sacrifice the socket to use as your new adjuster). Then you can use a ratchet to adjust. I'd recommend a 1/4" drive socket/ratchet.
Otherwise, Spitfire made some nifty adjusters. He may have some left.

The tool below was made from a 1/4 inch driver, 5/16" socket, and small piece of steel. The socket is tack welded to the driver so it does not come off when removing the tool. You would not want to drop the socket into the spaces near the shock tower, very hard to get out. I use this tool at least twice per month and it works great.
You may be able to use epoxy to cement the plastic insert into the 3/8 as suggested above. Also the socket could be cemented to a driver. I find the diameter of the 5/16 socket semi tight to get in and out. The 3/8 socket may be a bit tighter. I guess if you only adjust ocasionally then it may be okay.
For daily street driving (comuting to work every day) I have the rears on full soft and the fronts one full turn from the softest setting. I used to drive with them all set one turn from full stiff, but the roads have been getting worse (ridges) so I backed off.

thanks that helps too, unforunately my first attempt in modifying my first knob i dropped it in that gap and its still there hard as heck to get out. I will try thses routes today and see how they work too. thanks. right now i have my setting at full soft on the rear and full hard on the front, just messing with it at the moment. I thin 1 turn to firm on the rear and full hard on front should be fun
