Koyo Radiator Install
First Koyo radiator looks great running a blitz cap, a J's fan switch and a Mugen thermostat with red samco hoses very very happy.
Looking at the height of the new radiator it looks considerable higher then the previous and I have my hood off the car because I'm going carbon fiber. Before I hook all the hoses up and put the fans back on I want to make sure it all fits.
Anyone with a koyo rad have to trim the rubber seats on the bottom that hold the radiator in place for height reasons??

Trial and error with after market sometimes. What fits perfect in one car might not in the next... my advice is to put the hood on and close it very slowly checking clearance as you go. If it hits the radiator then trim the seats
x2. i put in the koyo radiator several months ago and everything should fit together just fine. just a few things to keep in mind:
- the koyo is thicker than the OEM radiator (roughly .5-inch?) so if you have an aftermarket intake (i.e., comptech) you may need to move stuff around (like the fan plugs).
- also, i had issues with mating my APR CF radiator cooling plate because of the thicker radiator. nothing major, its just a tighter fit.
goodluck getting the bubbles out. the easiest way i found was to go thru several heat cycles and top up coolant as needed.
