Kpro
Im switching From AEM to KPRO. On the list of parts needed to make kpro work is the 06-09 valve cover. Whats the reason for that? Different sensor connections or something? Im assuming this will fit on the f20 as well. May be a dumb question idk
The reason is the later models are hall sensors, and older models are magnetic. (Cam and crank POS sensors)
You can avoid the swap of sensors running a doctronics or ballade plug and play. But all they are using is a 5v mag to hall sensor converter in the plug and play harness.

As well as a modifry ECT.

I failed in NC with kpro. It's missing two systems(evap and air injection). Some states are comparing model year data and flagging cars missing systems. So just be aware kpro isn't as failsafe for passing as it used to be in states that have started comparing model year data

(then of course they got rid of the emissions testing up here a couple of years later ugh)
For me.. I literally swapped back, passed, then the inspection station said, it's your last year of emissions! State just changed from 25 years to 20. Lol so yea no more emissions here either.
The krpro shows "Not Supported" for Secondary Air Injection, and Evaporative System. It's not a visual inspection thing, all that is on the car. It's a they hook upto a computer and the computer flaggs you thing.

There's 3 main status' for an OBD2 readiness monitor (for example the secondary air injection monitor) -- Passed, Failed and Not Supported
Up here, in the early days of OBD2 emissions testing they just looked to make sure there were no "Failed" status monitors. No problem for KPRO to pass this type of test
Then over time they realized that a lot of flashable ECUs you had the ability to turn off OBD2 monitors by changing them to the "Not Supported" status.
So they revised the emissions testing by referencing a) the list of monitors your exact car should support from the factory and b) making sure they were all in "Passed" status. This is the type of test that KPro will fail because shows a couple of OBD2 monitors in "Not Supported" status that the OEM ECU supports
