Default Krank Vents

I love the Krank Vent mod but the chicken squeak is not cool. has anyone found a fix for this? I have searched the forums but not found anything yet, lots of talk about them but no fix.

from what I understand the sound isn't the Krank Vents but the vacuum they create sucking in air around the spark plug tube seals. It sounds reasonable, these Krank Vents create some pretty good vacuum.

Any suggestions on a fix?

It seems there is really no permanent solution. The krankvents (and other alternatives MC Vents and Supra PVC) produce more vacuum then the spark plug seals were designed to take.

There was a thread recently where someone suggested creating a very small hole in the vacuum tube after the krankvent to relieve some of the vacuum pressure.

Yeah, that is what I figured too. If I could reduce the vacuum just a little then the seals would hold. I think I will place a T between the vent and the valve cover and try to rig an adjustable breather valve of some sort. I'm thinking it would go on the krank vent that goes from the intake tube/box to the valve cover. These krank vents create a good amount of vacuum, if I could cut the vacuum in half by slightly venting it would still be more vacuum then stock but not enough to cause the seals to squeak.

What would be nice is if the krank vent kit was a vacuum regulator rather then a check valve. If it was a regulator you could maintain a set vacuum that is just under the seal's limit. Hey, I think I just had an idea... I'll keep you guys posted.

I drilled the Supra PCV valve so that there's a tiny bit of flow as supposed to no flow at all. None or little chicken noises and still vacuum.

So would this benefit N/A at all being that you don't deal with near as much vacuum? My guess is it might with what little vacuum we do see (as compared to boosted apps.), has anybody experimented with it?

: ( wish there was a quick fix, the only reason why i have not ordered them is because i KNOW i would be really annoyed with the sound.
