No, Bill, I am fine with you* - I just read very carefully, and forget others do not, or just browse or scan. You have the info you need. If you ever get a case on you, I can appear as an expert witness on your behalf!

*I got a xviper maddening post just tonight, from someone who literally asked me how to shift and drive fast through corners and control skids. I am supposed to educate via proxy? I sent him to school, literally.

Ultimate confusion here.

Wasn't this already covered in this same exact thread and you yourself already said you were going to drain it and switch it out with Redline MT-90 transmission fluid? I don't understand at all what you're wanting to know that hasn't been said already?

The AMSOIL gear lube you put in your tranny is a GL-5 differential fluid. GL-5 is typically not good for trannies.

I really don't know how much more simple to put it than this(I now see why RR is getting so annoyed with the PM's):

GEAR OIL/LUBE/FLUID(whatever you want to call it) GOES IN THE DIFFERENTIAL

TRANSMISSION FLUID GOES IN THE TRANSMISSION

Gear oil/lube/fluid is NOT transmission fluid

Use Honda MTF, Redline MT-90 or MTL, GM Synchromesh or whatever floats your boat in your TRANSMISSION

Yes it is. But it is a bad choice for your transmission! This has been posted over and over again - if one is going to 2nd guess Honda, be very sure of what you are doing.

I concur with what honda606 has written in his response to you. I would get that Amsoil out of your tranny ASAP.
