LE-607 users post here....
well, just trying to see how many of the S owners actually use this stuff. of course i know that diff fluid discussions have been run into the ground, but this is just to see how many are out there. i use the stuff myself, for about the past 6 months, change it about every 8k miles. well, post away!

I've been using it for over 40,000 total miles. Change it at about 15,000 and/or immediately after the track. I didn't realize that the viscosity limited LE607 to warm climates. It works for me in Texas and in the Colorado winter. I also use LE monolec 10/30 blend in the engine with Amsoil filters. For the tranny I use the Honda stuff, but change the tranny oil frequently. It helps to keep the 00 shifting smoothly.
I've been running LE-607 in my Comptech reinforced diff /w 4.57s. the LE helped a little with the gear whine, other than that no complaints. just THICK... good arm work out with the pump and this stuff. =)

It is in my 4.57 diff for about 3000 km now and staying in for 10k.
Then I will change and let it stay in for 45k km as per manual.
Overhere it's not cheap.

It is better not to use it in Arctic climates.
(IMO only during arctic winters)
Your owners manual states to use SAE 90 GL-5 oil in your diff.
There is no other option (like with the engine oil 5W-40) for cold climates mentioned in the owners manual (or service manual)
As RoadRage pointed out LE-607 flows very well (I think he used the word exeptional) at cold temps, up to -11F (-24C) due to the lack of parafine in the base oil.
He also pointed out it flows better then other SAE 90 oils he had seen.
All that info is in the "Oil Journals" on top of UTH.

I have over 37k miles on my S. I have changed the differential fluids about 5 times...The last 17k miles i've been using LE607 and no complaints here. I think the LE607 is good for at least 15k miles...I changed it out last time at 10k miles and the used LE607 came out pretty clean...the magnetic drain plug had very little fuzz on it.
