Default Leaking radiator

So, I noticed that my radiator is starting to leak at both top corners where the plastic tank meets the core. I'm gonna order an aftermarket radiator instead of going back to stock. I was thinking about a Koyo but found this on eBay and wondered if anyone else has experience with an eBay radiator like this one:

Anyone foresee an issue with this?

Chances are it might work just fine, but on a critical part like a radiator I'd stick with a Koyo as my first choice. A no-name rad doesn't cut it for me, and I'm not too sure about chrome on a radiator ?. If you want a less expensive rad Mishimoto are less money and still pretty decent quality. Your talking about rads that will likely last the life of the vehicle, I'd pay a bit more money for a well known brand, if I'm not mistaken Mishimoto have a lifetime warranty, not sure about Koyo.

What about Blackworks? They're only 178.00 and I've heard of other people using them. Worth it?

No one? I could've sworn I saw an install write-up a while back on here but cannot find it... I don't see how this one could be bad considering that it also has a lifetime warranty.. I'm just hoping for input from someone who has used one before I pull the trigger.

I may be going back to stock. I just realized that the FIPK heat shield won't fit with a thicker aluminum radiator.

Unless you figure out how to make it fit?

Thoughts on Mishimoto replacement radiators?

As these cars reach 13+ years I expect A LOT more radiators needing replacement.

Yup, the oem rad with plastic attached to metal is not a design that lasts forever, I expect to see many more rad replacements in the near future. We have seen quite a few replacements already as the plastic tends to crack.

I had a Mishimoto radiator, the construction of it is pretty decent, it worked well, and it has a lifetime warranty. I've been told that some racing teams in Japan us that rad. I did notice that is was very thick, which can interfere with some aftermarket intakes and superchargers etc, I think it is 3 inches thick if I recall, so you should check to make sure you have enough room in the engine bay for that rad. Other than that it worked fine, cooling was never an issue. Mishimoto rad caps are known to be crap though, they give you one with the rad but I would plan to replace it with a better aftermarket cap like Spoon, Mugen, J's, etc.. . I think the Mishimoto retails for about $240.00, not a bad deal for all aluminum construction.
