I plan on doing it myself, just looking to see how much I should be looking at.

Thanks

[QUOTE=NFRS2kSi,Jul 17 2006, 10:03 PM]close to $150 on parts wholesale. if u go over to dealer, they'll probably charge close to $450.00 to $500.00.

if u re-read again.. i said the price @ the dealer which includes labor charge. dealer charges around $80 an hour and this job takes about 3 hours. so if u times 80 X 3 = 240 on labor and fluid and parts could easy go over $400.00

Being that you did not include the word "labor" in your post, I assumed that you were refurring to "parts".

120 on parts isnt bad. So I just need the clutch slave and master cylinder I'm assuming. Can I use synthetic brake fluid? like super blue racing fluid?

Well .................................................. I don't think you'd wanna be using a DOT 5.0 brake fluid in our cars. Just a little nit picking.

Well...

Leaky clutch masters are common on the s2k, from dirty fluid.

In my experience, the leak will stop with new fluid.

The clutch fluid should honestly be changed every 12k miles.

Well ... from what I've read about you Bill, you would NEVER do a dishonest change of clutch fluid .
