Default Leather Seats Ruined??

Hey guys (& gals),

To make a long story short, a pen in my cargo pants pocket leaked black ink on my red leather seats

I used some human saliva (mine ) to try and get it out, but that only gave me half-ass results.

Any recommendations on how to remove it?

Also, (don't ask me why), but I used a non-fragrant hand cream with a soft cloth to see if it would remove it, but no dice.

The car has been in the garage since the incident (happend Tuesday night 2/12/2k2), and when I have driven it it has been at night.

Any helpful suggestions would be very much appreciated.

try hairspray (make sure you test it on a part of the seat to make sure it wont fade the color and also remember to condition the seat after)

I can sympathise. I just did the same (got pen ink in the passenger seat..pen stuck in street map).

I haven't tried the hand cream or spitting on it yet (thought I'd save that for later). Tried some citrus solvent, but that just made it stink like orange skin and spread the mark.

Tried a few other products to no avail, I think my only option is to get the pen out and color the interior blue.

Leather cleaner/polish...no good either. Let this be a lesson not to get pen on you leather.

try woollite like you use to clean window curtains. Let it soak on the stain for a little while.

Believe it or not, "WD-40" on a soft cloth. Test a spot first.
