Default Lining Up Diff and Drive Shaft

Hi There,

The diff on my car is toast.

I have a used one I am going to put in, I have 2 questions:

1) How do I know which 6 bolt holes on the new diff align to the drive shaft for optimal balance?

2) What are the chances the drive shaft is damaged or bent from blowing out the diff? Is there anyway to tell?

Thanks

1 does not matter.

2 driveshaft is likely fine, as a blown dif does not put the driveshaft at any different angle.
