Location of extra bracing on '04 frames
I haven't seen this posted before:

1) Between the front side frame, adding the performance rod to the front end.
2) Reinforcing the front cross member connection section.
3) Adding the stiffener to the front upper arm bracket.
4) Adding the stiffener to the bulkhead before the rear wheel house.
5) On rear increase fixed place of performance rod.
6) Between the rear side frame, adding the performance rod to the rear end.

Excellent! Now I do not feel so bad that I have an "S2000 of a Lesser God". Plus, I assume the bracing is made of those great Japanese soup noodles, to assure that the softening of the F22C's was complete.
Maybe my Rick's x-brace is absolute overkill - BTW< I installed a Fumoto 106N* and with 3/8" vinyl tubing I can drain with no residue on the brace to clean up. Plus it was fixing a persistent leak i had with the stock plug, using a new washer and Tq wrench to set at the spec'd 29 ft/lbs. Weird.
* Since this is a permanent install, I used pink Teflon tape on the threads that go into the pan, and Permatex gasket maker on adaptor threads. Bone dry. The Fumoto accepts the same 17mm wrench that yanks the stock oil fill bolt - just snug it a bit past the initial contact with the pan - you do not want to crush the fiber washer.
