solution found, went a different route.

 

I'd look at the fuse box in the engine bay...there has to be something you could use an "add a fuse" on

 

I've been searching here on the forum for a while with no real luck, so figured I would just ask. I guess i'll get my multi meter out and start testing to see if I can get anywhere. If all fails I guess i'll have to run it into the car to the fuse box in there.
