Hello everybody. I started having this issue recently when I start up the engine when it (engine) is cold. I can hear a very loud screeching noise coming from somewhere around the engine. The longer I press the starter button, the longer the sound seems to be present for, at least it feels that way. I'd like to figure out where the issue could be. Hard to tell because potato quality but symptoms sound like a stuck starter. Have you looked this up yet?

 

Not yet. It only happens when the car has been off for a while. I might have to take it to the shop and leave it there until the engine cools down so they can reproduce the problem.
I did notice a couple of times after driving it for about 20 minutes, I turn off the engine and try to start it again, the car won't turn on, it looks similar to when the battery is dead.
