Default Low octane

So ive put a couple hundred miles on my s while using low octane. I noticed a lil tap start so it got me thinking. Im still getting used to the italian/european fuel sale system. Im hopeing the slight tic will go away as i switch to the high octane (blu superfor europe) . My question is , is there anything i can do to repair or help the damage i might have caused from this dumb mistake??? Any helps appreciated, thanks

i dont know what is wrong.. haha but your engine is high compression and normally with high compression you need to use higher octane so your engine doesnt explode. and you need to be nice to your s

Tap you are hearing the detonation engine is suffering. Higher octane will fix it right away. Though keep running on low octane will eventaully poke a hole through the top of the piston.

I'm still learning this stuff but my LT1 zed is running a 10.4:1 ratio and the s2k runs what a 11.0:1 correct? In my lt1 I run the low grade and have no issues with pre-detonation or knock. What is the quality of the european gas?

The simple answer is: the most expensive one.
In EU, you have 95RON, 98RON and 100RON. The F20C2 needs minimum 98RON, but you should put 100RON just in case.

Related: it could be the TCT, valve adjustment or just use 100ron fuel. Make a video of the sound and post it IF the sound doesn;t go away after running with better gas for about 50 km.

Alright thanks guys! they put the gas in and you have to watch them to make sure they put the one you ask in. I dont speak italian so i guess my accent sometimes throws them off.

If some stupid American tries to tell you 91 is enough, it's because he doesn't know the difference between MON, RON, and AKI, and he's thinking of AKI, not RON.

No damage has been done. The motor is protecting itself and the timing has changed to prevent issues.

Run the best gas you can buy. Problem will 'self' fix as the timing will be restored. Motor is a self learning design.
