low oil, now engine taps. need suggestions
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6u86qaqpYM
i have my supercharger out for service and ported the oil feed into the oil return. the hose i used broke and dumped most of the mobile 1 i had in it on the highway. i heard some tapping and puled over at a gas station. fixed that connection and put 4 1/2 quarts in. i hoped the tap would go away but it hasn't.
o yeah and the oil light only flashed once right before pulling into the station.
so the car ran for maybe 3 miles with 1 quart of oil.
my question is what should i check for?
i tested compression, and rocker clearance and all were within spec. and have 100 miles on it sense then
i saw a bunch of post on low oil, and read a bunch but it was non specific on what actually failed in the motor. any help or suggestions would be great. or links if you know of any.
id rather not pay a dealer 70$ an hour just because i don't know where to look.
thanks

I cant hear the clip since my comp doesnt have speakers, but the only thing I can think of is that you spun a rod bearing and that tap your hearing is a minor rod knock. Usually once the light comes on its too late, but in your case you might be ok since it only blinked.
I dont know if a spun rod bearing would affect compression though, if you know what your looking for you could drop the oil pan and check the rod bearings yourself. But only running on 1 oil is really bad, almost no oil at all, ive even seen people with only 3 qts or so of oil have their rod bearings spun.

Sounds like something is bent in there. Possibly a valve?
ok so it seems like its a consensus on the rod bearing.
is there a way that i can put the motor at tdc and pull the oil pan, then do cyl. 2 and 4, and turn 180* and do 1 and 3? how can i get the spec on the rod diameter without pulling the head and pistons? can i just buy all the different size bearings and measure the ones that i pull out and put that size back in? or do i definitely have to pull the head?
car is an 00, has 82 k on it and has been supercharged sense 02. cant say if original rod bearings because of this.

Just order them from here http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/j...STON-CRANKSHAFT
And they come in a bunch of colors too
Your gonna have to drop the crankshaft/rods/pistons but I dont think youll have to pull the head. While your doing this you should also replace the main bearings.
