While you have the S jacked up, spin the rear wheels and see if you hear the clunk. I had the same problem, turned out to be my diff going bad
stop driving it until you figure out the problem. especially if it's worsening every time you drive it.. your repair bill is only going up up up if you continue to do so.
edit:listened to video.. sound like the diff.

Go have a mechanic check out your diff. Most Honda dealers have a borescope they can use to look inside your diff without pulling the cover. Should cost <$100 for the diagnosis.
If it is your diff, I hope you have some $$$$ sitting around. I was quoted $5k for an OEM diff rebuild. Going with the Puddymod diff is definitely less expensive, but still $3k up front.

[QUOTE=istdercollen@hotmail.com,Oct 3 2008, 12:10 AM] can't you get an entire pumpkin with shorter gears for 8-900 on exchange from some of these vendors? 5K is crazy.. 3K too.
i don't think royal purple sucks that bad.. lol
yo BTW here is a Spoon Differential for 747 dollars
http://www.inlinefour.com/spoons2difge.html
tell those people to shove 5K up their ass. that would be 40 hours of labor at 100 dollars an hour plus you'd still have a brand new spoon diff.

the royal purple thing is just a guess, since i dont abuse it thats the only thing i've done to the diff. whats different about the spoon diff from stock? i can't find much info on it.
i don't know much about the Spoon diff myself. I just wanted to point out that if one of those can be had at that price there's no reason you should be able to find comparable prices on a stock unit. if you do have to replace it. you might as well get shorter gears though. it would definitely make your car a lot more fun.
