Default LSD

I always thought that the S2000 comes with a factory fitted LSD as standard, am I right or wrong?

You are right A torque sensing LSD not a clutch type.
This is a stock rear that is open, it shows the gears, LSD, and bearing cap.

Thanks for the help, so why would I need to change the LSD for a KAAZ unit for instance, are clutch types any better than torque sensing ones?

you will be fine with a stock setup. You start messing with wider rims and more track/performance items and you will start adding stress points on the rear end.
