Default LSD stuff........

okay, so after searching and reading up on a lot of stuff about the diff/lsd...went out, jacked my rear end up so i could spin the wheels. well, here it is...went to the right side, spun the wheel in both directions, the left wheel caught up with it, until it was spinning at the same pace with the right wheel....then i go to the left side, and spin it in the direction it was just spinning, and when i go to spin it the opposite way, the right wheel doesnt follow, then back the first way, it doesnt follow either...but, whenever i move the left wheel, the right wheel budges, but doesnt catch up with it. i tried doing it slow, but still, the right wheel just moves a tad bit and thats it. i'm confused how this would happen, considering the right wheel will move the left just fine, but the left cant do it. i'm not sure if this is normal or bad. please, someone help me out, thanks much!!!!

Make sure your car is in gear, it could just be spinning the driveshaft.

hmmm, i thought the car should be in neutral...i'm sure it would be a pain to try to turn the wheels with it in gear(turning the engine).

yeah car should be in neutral.

why are you spinning the wheels anyways? if the car can be driven, then there's nothing wrong with your LSD...

lol no. why were you even bothering with it in the first place if your car is driving great and smooth? lol. it's like going into the doctor for a broken arm even though your arm feels fine.

Ok so now I am lost....... Why would you not put in in gear?

He could be just spinning the driveshaft as the tranny is in neutral, depending on how much resistance is on the wheel that he is not touching. Am I not understanding the question?

What should be happening is the car is in gear, rear wheels off the ground, spin one tire and the other should spin opposite.
