the light flashes when i turn the car on, and while i wait for the fuel pump to engage and then start the car and the light goes off after it flashed for a little. im confused. please help

just kidding, it's the change the oil notification light, annoying isn't it? the owner's manual has the procedure for shutting it off, or search around here somewhere, i wrote up a shutoff thing that was at one time stickied in the introduction section but has since been removed.

"yeah, startup that's the change your oil light. don't know if you were mislead but the 6k is mileage since not rpm. it's either hold the trip or sel button at startup until the light goes away. sadly i just did it last week and i've already forgotten how to do it, no wonder people ask so much here..."

 

thank u i thought maybe it would be an oil light, but then i thought i just changed the oil it couldnt be.

 

mant req light is for oil. it goes off every 5k miles or so. so u gatta reset it everytime.

 

the oil warning light is an oil pressure light, if you get that light, stop immediately and have the car towed, it's not an oil level light, i'm a noob, but i know when not to drive the car anymore...lol.

the main't light will come off 5-6k start of reset. its just a light that tells you u drove 5-6k miles
