Maintenance Required Light Flickering
AP1 2001 S2000 with 23,000 KMS. Last night I was driving around and I saw the main't requ'd light flicker on and off about 10 times or so.
Can has been serviced during the 19,000 km interval by an independent garage. Coolant, oil and sparkplugs, brake fluid were all changed. I checked the oil level when I got home, and it was on the 3rd X in the dip stick. Filled it up to the top.
Any ideas what could be wrong?
The car has a test pipe on, and the mechanical simulator I made does not work, and I ahve been running around with a CEL on the car. Could that be a part of it?

The independent garage mechanic should reset maintenace required light when he did your oil change at 19,000 km. Do what RACER said above will turn it off, but you should remember to do the next oil change at no later than 29,000 km, the maintenace required light will not turn on again until after 33,000 km.
I guess I just wanted to confirm that it is just a light that will turn-on at a given milage or interval, and not because the sensors see something wrong with the car.
The light itself is not on right now, it just flickered about 10 times or so last night.
The shop I had it done did not have a scanning tool to reset this, however, I had to do the removal of the fuse to reset the computer afterwards when I put the testpipe in. This was done, maybe 500 kms after the 19,000 oil change. Does resetting the ECU, also reset the main reqd light?
