Default Maintence costs?

Hello everyone and happy thanksgiving.

I just got back from getting Front tires on my s2k.

However he said I needed a few things and give me a list of The things with prices.

coolant flash $89.00
radiator hoses $500.00 (I don't see any wear)
serpentine belt $164.00
alignment $119

does theses prices sound right to you???

I just paid 311.00 for 2 bridgestone re760 font tires.

Year? Mileage?
Check your owners manual for what you need for scheduled maint.

i think the serpentine belt cost is about 20 bucks. and takes under a 60 seconds to change.

Can't imagine you need hoses. I've got nearly 110k miles and my hoses are fine.

Serpentine belt is also prob fine. They are expensive though...about $50-75. But they last a very very long time. I'd be surprised if you need one unless you are very very high mileage.

Unless they are leaking, leave the hoses alone.

I second that... I hate shops that try to take advantage of
people new to automotive. One you can find samco hosses for
half that, second the belt is like 25 bucks and takes a wrench
and a couple min. Of your time. You can aslo flush your own radiator
and all it will cost is the fluid to re-fill it and a aligment is around 60-80
well at least were I stay

The Honda belt is $55 from Majestic and $78 retail from most dealers.

I'm sure your autozone belt is fine. But after looking at the Honda belt, I personally decided to stay OEM on that part.
