Major bogging/idle problems with AP1
I've been trying to figure this out off and on for a long time now. I've made a few posts in the past and I'm sorry to make another but I just can't get anywhere with this on my own.
The car is a 2001 with a comptech aftercooled novi1000 kit. Running the original RRFPR and map clamp.
After a day or two of driving, this problem starts happening. Drive to work in the morning, everything is great. Drive home and spend an hour in traffic, the car starts idling horribly. Major hesitation/bogging in first below ~3k rpm. Sometimes it feels like it stalls between shifts and starts up again when I let the clutch out. 2nd gear has also started getting hesitation/bogging below 3k rpm. When this happens, I also get very strong fuel smells from the rear of the car. When I park the car, the smell is strongest in the driver side rear wheel well.
Watching fuel trims while this is going on, I get -10 to -15% at idle and spikes to -25% when I give it throttle and it bogs. After I get moving and it's running fine, fuel trims stay within +/- 5%. It has never thrown a code.
I have thus far:
Valve adjustment and retainer replacement. Retainers were pretty badly cracked. At this time idle/bogging wasn't bad. Only happened with the AC on sometimes. Spark plugs looked fine.
Cleaned throttle body and IACV. MAP channel is clear.
Replaced aftercooler pump with cobra pump and HX with the siliconeintakes 2". Had very high IATs and thought it was heat soaking.
Tested all of the evap valves. All functioning and holding/releasing when voltage applied. Canister wasn't full of gas when I pulled it off.
Replaced the o2 sensor with an innovate LC-2. Haven't logged AFRs yet. Seems reasonable to assume it's very rich when this happens.
Ran a bottle of injector cleaner and this seems like it made the problem much worse.
At this point I'm (wild) guessing that I have an injector that starts sticking open or not fully closing after a few heat cycles. So my plan is to find a replacement set of injectors or send mine off for cleaning.
Any help would be appreciated. I don't drive the car anymore and it makes me sad.

Battery hasn't given me any reason to suspect it. It sits for long periods of time. Sometimes without a tender and requires recharging. The previous owner let it sit for 2 or 3 years but on a tender. I believe it's an optima yellow top.
I'll be table flippin mad if it ended up being the battery but I don't see how it could be.

You really should have your injectors cleaned and flow-tested. That means take them out and ship them off somewhere most likely.
I did that when I put my SOS on, and I'm glad I did as my injectors were not even close to in spec. RC did mine, with a turnaround of a little less than a week.
Also, notice you have not replaced plugs. You running one step colder, too? I run NGK 3668s, in the '8' heat range, versus '7' for OEM.
If you've done everything else, try these. It really does sound like a fuel issue.

It's got NGK 2668s currently. They went in when the supercharger went on ~30k miles ago. They looked fine back when I did the valves but I'm going to replace them anyway.
The injectors are going to be sent to RC or CND for cleaning.

Got my injectors back from CNC Speedshop today. I was expecting a bit more of a report but w/e.. for $60 they've been cleaned. Also, very fast turnaround time. Shipped out 2-day usps. They had them done and back in the mail the day after receiving them and shipped back out 2-day usps. I sent them out Monday morning and got them back Saturday.
Pre-cleaning flow - 40, 40, 42, 45
Post-cleaning flow - 50, 49, 49, 49
I'm not sure what units these are tho. If they're lbs/hr then they seem very high for stock injectors. 49lbs/hr == 515cc/min. There's no indication of what psi these tests were done at.
I'll try to get the car back together this weekend and get the battery out to o'reilly for a test.

Got delayed a week due to destroyed spark plug tube seals. Seals arrived today and I got to it.
Old plugs look like so

4 and 1 did not look like that a few hundred miles back when I did the valve spring retainers.
Just need to put the EVAP back together and take it for a drive in the morning.
