So i went out and changed my MAP sensor to a 4-bar map sensor because i will get it tuned next month. after i change it i also reset the ECU. i try to start the car. and well nothing. it seems the engine tried to start but instantly dies. not even pressing the throttle while starting will make it work. so i tried to start the engine for 15 minutes with the same result. i decided to put the stock one back in and it worked.

now the question. why wont the new 4 bar map sensor work? do i need to wait until the tuning part to install it? Thanks!

 

Stock PCM's need stock MAP sensors. Different MAP sensors have different operating ranges and voltages.

Yes! U have to change the settings in the ecu. Otherwise the car wont run.

yea i have flash pro. right now my ECU has a reflash from hondata for the s/c kit
