MAP Whack
I cleaned the MAP sensor with a special aerosol spray. The car idles much smoother now. Wonder if whacking the MAP just knocked pollen and dirt out of the housing and let it function better?
Any thoughts? I never really bought the MAP whack being due to poor connection between the MAP sensor and the electrical plug...
Any vehicles with the zip tie "fix" still having the MAP whack problem?

the whack isnt due to poor connection its the connection coming loose at high rpm.
If the connection is coming loose at high RPM, doesn't that imply that there is a poor connection?

In my personal experience (on my car and my girlfriend's car) a whack to the sensor doesn't do diddly. It was unplugging and reseating the connector that fixed the issue.

It's like blowing into and hitting a Nintendo 64 game before you put it in the console. Some swear by it, some just don't.
