Has anyone ever installed a Megan Racing strut bar on their S? I have an 05 with the stock hood and got a bar from them that said S2000 right on the shrink wrap but when I installed it I couldn’t close the hood!

 

Is it possible that you have the bar flipped over?

 

Dont think so, the placard with the Megan Racing name on it is facing up

 

I'm not sure that means anything with some aftermarket products.

Then, it would seem they sent you the wrong part.

What do you mean you couldn't close the hood?

 

When I lowered the hood, typically I push gently on it to latch but I could feel that there was resistance from the bar

I did close it once and there was a huge gap all the way around where the hood meets the fenders so I opened it
back up right away. Thank god I didn't bend the hood!

 

Is the bar contacting the hood liner?

Maybe email Megan Racing or whatever dealer you bought the bar from. There has to be an installation problem, or the bar is wrong.
