In the pictures, it looks like other parts of the underbody are lower. You would be driving through some seriously high water to cause any problems...ever drive through water up to your oilpan?

Please do a search this has been debated more time than which came first the chicken or the egg. More than a handful of folks on this board have the MG racing CAI and no one has ever reported hydrolock after daily use. And if you are driving your S2000 in snow that is high enough to reach the intake probably close to a foot off the ground you will have other things to worry about.

TCS2K, I have had the MG Racing CAI for quite some time...(I have the very first one made, actually) and the fear of water causing hydrolock really doesn't ever worry me. Mainly because my S2000 only sees rain by accident and secondly, the inlet for the intake is above the lowest point of the car. You would really have to go through about 10 inches of water, or thereabouts, for there to be even the possibility of it sucking in water.

It's a good piece and I think it's quite effective. I would highly recommend it to you and others.

Enjoy...
