Default Michelin Alpine Sport

I know there are threads for tire sizes, but I couldn't find anything specific for these ones.

If I go with the Michelin Alpine Sport tires, do I go OEM size, or 245/45/16 on the rear, and 225/50/16 on front?

I could really use some help as spring/summer is coming up and the winter tires have to come off.

Thanks

ANY tire other than the OEM Bridgestone S02 will need to be a 245 width in the rear in order to have the same contact patch as the OEM rubber. I think going with a wider tire in the front is debatable, but definitely get the 245's for the rear. This applies to ANY tire other than the OEM rubber than came on the car. This has been covered extensively in the wheels/tires section.

They will work just find, but in stead of the sidewall looking normal, your 245 will buldge... looks terrrible

225/50/16 front

245/45/16 rear

I have these sizes in the fuzion ZRi, and they look perfect. The sidewall will not buldge unless you buy shitty tires.

No wonder my driving experience sucked for the last two summers.. I had 225 kumo's on the back...Horrible tires any how.

When I got my winter tires put on (Michelin pilot Alpine, 205/55/16 all around) my car felt like it was brand new! No more tramlining, no more car shifts after going over bumps....

So 245's on stock rims will look stupid? Anyone have pics of this size tire on stock 16's?

Thanks

245/45 looks OEM on a stock rim. 245 is the same contact patch as a 225 s02...
