Default Misfire & Flickering Dash

Did my research and have spent a bucket of money.
5 CEL codes: missfire 1;2;3;4; & random.
Adjusted valves. CEL came back
Ran a bottle of gas dry and replaced spark plugs ((remember when plugs used to be 99 cents each?!)) CEL came back
Replaced all coil packs. CEL came back.
Some time through it all I noticed dash flickering (not sure if it started same time as misfire)
Put some heavier guage ground to fire wall and shock tower.
CEL came back and still have flicker.

So do you think the problems are related?

We have recently learned that it is possible they are related. The alternator is what normally causes the dash to flicker. We just had an owner find that a bad alternator was also the cause of his misfire...more than likely it was not sending enough current to the coils for good ignition.

Look in the DIY FAQ for the Misfire Troubleshooting thread.

Agree with negcamber.

My problem was injectors.

My plugs are still ~$0.99s. Copper NGKs, baby!

Check fuel pressure, might cause misfire.

See if you can find a buddy with an AP2 to swap injectors with temporarily.

Check your grounds good, especially the one on the back of the head, and the ones behind the kickpanel, by the ECM.

when you turn IGN to ON, the lights go on on the dash, are they different brightness? If so, it's a loose/bad ground, check the big fat grounds, like the one by the starter/tranny.

Also there is a load-sensing circuit in the main underhood fuse box, I believe, and it might be going.

If you did all that then the injectors are the next on the list.
