Did you do the adjustment yourself? Were any of them way too tight or loose? Have you done an adjustment on an s2k prior to this?

I only ask because with the roller system the s2k engine has it has an entirely different feeling from say B series valve adjustments. If it is your first time i would just have someone who has done them multiple times on an s2k double check.

I saw a post yesterday where a guy did .010 on intake and exhuast side insead of the .008 in .010 ex that is correct.

Also when you swapped the coil did you just swap it with cyl #2? If so did the misfire follow the coil to cyl #2 or was it still cyl #1 after the swap?

If the code follows the coil then its fair to say the coil may have a hairline crack or is just worn out. If not i would get your valve adj checked out.

Best of luck.

^ this... and you need to do a leak down test. It will show you what you need to know. For me it ended up 2 valves would not seat all the way and had to have them replaced.

if you are confident in your valve adj i would have a leak down test done.
