Default Is Mixing Honda MTF and 10w30 ok?

Attempted to change the tranny/diff fluid on the gf's S today and it didn't go smoothly at all. The draining was fine but trying to refill the fluid was a PAIN. We ended up spilling quite a bit of each and my question is if you can mix mobil 1 10w30 with honda MTF if you are short on MTF?

Got about a quart to 1.25 quarts of honda MTF in there and spilled so much I reverted to some mobil 1 10w30 oil to make sure there was fluid dripping out of the fill hole to signal it was full. Should I take it to the dealer and have them drain and refill with all honda MTF?

Also...same problem with the rear diff, probably got about half a bottle of Mobil 1 75W90 GL-5 oil in and spilled a ton. Ended up using some Redline 75W90 GL-5 fluid to top it off and make sure it was full. Is it ok to mix brands of the same stuff?

The tranny feels a bit more notchy at first impression and grinded once downshifting from 2nd to first around 13-15 mph. I may just be going crazy but there seems to be a slight whir, maybe from the diff but maybe it's just paranoia.

They are totally different.

I mixed Honda Manual Transmission Fluid with 10w30 motor oil. As far as I understand Honda MTF is just 10w30 motor oil modified with a few additives.

I mixed Mobil 1 75w90 differential fluid with Redline 75w90 differential fluid. I did not mix tranny and diff fluid.

You diff fill is very likely fine.
As for your tranny fluid, you are OK for a little while. It states in the manual that you can use motor oil in the tranny as a temporary measure. It should not be used any longer than necessary. In other words, ASAP, put the right stuff in there. My suggestion would be to dump that fluid at the next opportunity and load it with 100% MTF.

Can anyone reccomend a good way to fill the tranny? We tried to use a long clear plastic hose and fill it up from the top but it kept leaking everywhere. Couldn't find a pump or anything at walmart. What kind of tool do you usually use to fill up the tranny/diff with the fill hole being so small?
...
Look again for a pump. Most bigger auto supply stores will have pumps made expressly for this.

Both the tranny fluid change and the diff fluid change is listed in the FAQs at the top of UTH. Here is the tranny fluid one:

This is what you are looking for:

Bought mine at Pep Boys. I put the bottle of gear oil in a pan of warm water while I drain the diff. It is easier to pump when it is warm.

I'm just gonna re-do it all, it's not that expensive anyways. Pardon the ignorance but how does that pump work, there are 3 hoses. I'm guessing 1 into the fluid bottle, 1 just sucks in air and 1 hose into the fill hole?
