suggests? Exxon Mobil claims exactly the opposite, how many miles were on the filter in question?
Didn't you read my link? Do you only read links that support your opinions? I'm not going to repost the link for your sake. You can go back to the thread (that was locked - guess why?) and read it.

Until I see proof otherwise, I will assume that Mobil 1 filters are more restrictive and the expert you quote is referring to the Delta P per unit area and not total Delta P.

where's the beef, spit? you've got nothing here but speculation and random smileys,
Sounds familiar... doesn't it?

All the things "we" have mentioned "we" have backed-up.
#1 the 15400-PCX-004 is S2k specific.
#2 according to Mobil1 the M1-104 is good for more (Honda and God knows what else...) engines.
#3 the M1-104 has less filter medium than the 15400-PCX-004.
#4 the construction of the PCX outperforms the construction of the M1-104.
#5 according to Mobil1 the M1-104 filter medium isn't MicroGlass, in fact it contains natural fibres and undocumented synthetic fibres.
#6 there is no test to date that includes both filters.
Beef enough for you?

so is a Civic oil filter...so what?

so what?

#3 the M1-104 has less filter medium than the 15400-PCX-004.
aside from very long drain intervals, so what?

#4 the construction of the PCX outperforms the construction of the M1-104.
"outperforms" in terms of what? subjective, unscientific evaluations?

the guy I quoted from BITOG states they are, in fact, microglass

Beef enough for you?
no

I believe Pure One is also Microglass/synthetic also. Excellent flow, filtration, capacity. Good filter but I have no first hand experience with the Pure One as I do with the Mobil 1/AC Delco Gold. I have disected both of the latter and indeed they are microglass/synthetic high quality medium.

I love how someone takes apart two different oil filters and makes a "visual" observation and suddenly it becomes a scientific test. He didn't compare oil pressure, he didn't compare the flow, he didn't do actual tests to see which filters better, he didn't do anything except cut them open and suddenly he is God sent. Incredible.

If that is all it takes to make you people a believer then:
