replacing rear diif

1. Did you even attemp to search this topic before you posted this question (twice!)?
2. Why have you double posted this? That is unnecessary.
3. Do you know what else is unnecessary? Calling it a rear diff. It is redundant, as the S2000 is rear wheel drive. It only has one diff, the rear one. Simply "diff" will do... no need to specify.
And to answer your question, yes you can, but the some bolt sizes differ. You have a couple of options. Your first one is to change the input flange (AKA companion flange) to the Differential. Your second option is to get an AP2 driveshaft and change the output flange of the transmission.
AND PLEASE USE THE DAMN SEARCH NEXT TIME! This same topic has been asked MANY times.

i dont understand why some of you guys just b!tch to b!tch about things like this. who the heck cares if he searched or not? does it really make any difference? what has been accomplished by you throwing a fit like a child? nothing...he still got his answer. he probably got the answer more than twice as fast as if he would have used the search. i have tried to use that search for things and can not ever come up with any kind of significant answer. i have used it to try to find things forsale and its useless. if you want something from about 5 years ago then it works but you cant find anything recent.
the reason im posting this is cuz all you had to do it say yes you can. there are a couple things you may need to modify like the input flange but it will work. thats all. nothing more the rant was pointless.
this forum is full of knowlege and extremely useful! it has helped me more times than i can remember, but it wasnt from people that jump all over someone for asking a question no matter how simple. just from people asnwering any question i have ever had.
to end....please just next time if you think its a dumb question or your mad cuz they didnt "search" then just dont post anything. it makes everything simpler and gets more things accomplished
