Default Mobile 1 75w-90 for tranny?

Hey gents . I was wondering if mobile 1 75w-90 would be good for the tranny? The Honda dealer is out of stock for the Honda MTF. Can I use this till they get it in?

Thanks brian

Mobil 1 75w-90 is the oil for the diff. Do not run that in the tranny. Is there another honda dealer in your area?

Because "Is there another honda dealer in your area?" is SO much more helpful than "no..."

To the OP:
  1. Do a search. You'll find tons of info on this.
  2. You can use synchromesh fluid, which you can probably get at any parts store, and some like it even better than Honda MTF. For details see 1.
  3. If you're really in a tight spot, even the manual admits you can use plain 10W-30 temporarily.

I also like GM synchromesh. I use the Friction Modified version. Pick it up at your local Chevy, GM, Cadillac dealer.
