Default Mounts!

How long do oem transmission mounts last. I have 27,000 miles on my S with a few track days, dragon run and horrible NY roads.
My transmission and or shifter feel jiggly on certain harsh bumps.
They do not look broken, but maybe they could have wore out prematurely due to a violent bump n jump in the road.
Anyone try the Mugen mounts?

I don't think Mugen mounts are a big upgrade. OEM mounts show failure typically cracking or leaking, but the engines seem to be tough to spot. The check Billman does uses a pry bar between shock towers and the throttle body and the VTEC cylinder area on the other side. Basically movement and bumping will be evident.

I pryed the transmission mounts and motor mounts. They seemed to check out. Anyone ever heard of the white plastic holster for the shifter cracking? Maybe that's the problem

Check your upper control arm bushings.

Yes, the 2 plastic pieces on the shifter wear, and can crack. Check diff mounts. Those could cause shifter vibes too.
